Barbaresco & Roero Wine Tour – NEW

Barbaresco & Roero Wine Tour

Private guided tour from the Barbaresco area of production to the Roero region where another great wine is made out of nebbiolo – Roero DOCG. Named after the region where it is produced, Roero is a fragrant and elegant age-worthy wine with a warm and velvety flavour.
Moreover, a unique white wine is produced here – Roero Arneis DOCG. Fantastic bouquet of fine white flowers with apple and peach notes.
Tour Highlights:
Visit the Barbaresco area: walk in the village of Barbaresco with the imposing squared tower built in the late XI century to protect the village from foreign invaders.

Stop at the Regional Enoteca of Barbaresco located in the deconsecrated church of San Donato to taste 3 different types of Barbaresco, then visit a local Barbaresco-producing winery in one of the three villages which are allowed to produce this wine, i.e. Barbaresco, Neive or Treiso with final wine-tasting.
Move to the Roero area of production, just cross the River Tanaro (approx. 20-minute drive from Barbaresco), and visit one of the most famous “names” of Roero, e.g. Matteo Correggia, Malvirà, Cascina Chicco, Deltetto, Giacomo Vico, etc. Tour of the cellars with final wine-tasting.
